Creating Alerts
- Create Alert Policy: organize alert conditions and define your issue creation preferences
Choose
- One issue per policy (All conditions in a policy).
- One issue per condition (Each condition in a policy).
- One issue per condition & signal -(Each metric or attribute - signal).
- Create Alert Condition: configured to watch a data source and generate incidents when the behavior of the data source crosses a defined threshold

Streaming method: How data is collected before itโs evaluated.
- Event flow (default) works best for data that comes in frequently and mostly in order.
- Event timer works best for data that arrives infrequently in batches.
- Cadence is our original and inferior aggregation method. It aggregates data on specific time intervals
- Workflows: give you control over issue notifications. They are used to determine who gets notified, which issues to send, and what information is included

Decision: Decisions provide the logic that tells our engine what incidents and issues to group
